Pilgrim Lutheran Church

Photo of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Menomonee Falls, Wis.Pilgrim was founded nearly 50 years ago and from its first year has emphasized the importance of Christian Education. One of the first projects the congregation undertook was the founding of a Lutheran elementary school which enrolls not only member children, but children in the community.

The congregation today has about 500 men, women and children. Sunday morning worshipers are friendly and helpful to visitors. Pilgrim supports the starting of new mission churches in Waukesha county. Besides the Lutheran elementary school and preschool / child care programs, the congregation has a thriving prayer ministry and offers many opportunities for Bible study and instruction.

  Our Mission

Pilgrim Lutheran Church, School, Preschool and Child Care are located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

We exist to bring the light of the Gospel to our community by radiating the love of Jesus.

Together, through faithful use of God's Word, we

  • kindle spiritual growth by cultivating a relationship with God in prayer, worship and Bible study,
  • enlighten and equip people to contribute their gifts in service to God and the community, and
  • reflect the light of Jesus  to our community and the world.

Meet the Pastor

Pastor Behringer grew up in rural Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. From the time he was a little boy he wanted to be a pastor, though there were no church workers in his family. He has served churches in Wisconsin, Michigan, and California, and was a missionary to Japan.

He has been heavily involved with ministry to the deaf and hard of hearing and with pregnancy counseling centers. He has special interests in cross cultural ministry and issues of codependancy and setting boundaries.

He and his wife, Vicki, have three sons and two daughters-in-law. He has been at Pilgrim for nearly ten years of his 28 years as a pastor.
